Artist Residencies

Canal du Midi, France (2019)
For a week in May 2019, I journeyed down the Canal Du Midi in the south of France with my family. During our adventures, I gathered textures and made impressions from the various plants I encountered along the canal’s edges.
Utsira, Norway (2016)
July 2016 I undertook a residency at the Utsira Lighthouse Artist in Residency program, courtesy of the Rogaland County Council.

Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland (2016)
May 2016, I spent the month as one of three Artist in Residence at the Fish Factory - Creative Centre of Stöðvarfjörður in Iceland.

Hardangerfjord, Norway (2015)
June 2015, I had the opportunity to undertake an artist residency at the Kunstnarhuset Messen in Ålvik, to continue exploring my Fragments series and further research the edges and rims of fjords and islands in Norway.

Frida Hansens Hus, Norway (2015)
April - May 2015, I was the Artist in Resident at Frida Hansens Hus in Stavanger, courtesy of the Rogaland Kunstsenter. Due to my tools being en-route from Australia, I explored my sculpture process with found objects, in particular kelp, taken from the shoreline around stavanger's nearby beaches.
King Island (2015)
February 2015, I undertook a residency at the Currie Harbour Cultural Centre on King Island with the assistance of Arts Tasmania.

Folgefonna Glacier, Norway (2014)
August 2014, I hiked to Folgefonna Glacier, on the West Coast of Norway. Similar to my island research of exploring shorelines, this residency I explored the glacial rim - where the ice meets rock.
Flinders island, Tasmania (2013)
August 2013, I undertook a residency at the Mountain Seas Arts Retreat, on Flinders Island, Tasmania.

Cataract Gorge Cottage AIR (2012)
February 2012, I created a series of cocoon like sculptures from material i GATHERED from the Cataract Gorge. during my stay at the King’s Cottage Artist in Residence Program.
Mob workspace (2003-2005)
Early 2003, I co-initiated a collaborative jewellery studio with 2 other jewellers, sponsored by the Brisbane City Council and situated within the Brisbane City Hall.
